we're moving! pictures from this weekend <3

hello friends!

me and the hubby are moving from our cute little one bedroom, 800 square-feet apartment into a three bedroom, two bath house! now to some of you that may not seem like a big deal-- but it is oh so exciting for us!! i can not wait to decorate a whole house!!! we'll have so much more space, yes please!

so with that being said, this weekend was spent painting, packing, picking up beautiful things found on craigslist and doing a little setting up.

so fun.

we dont really like painting, its super time consuming. but we toughed it out, laughed a ton, played the music too loud and got done what needed to get done!

i have a deep love for making lists. lists keep me going & clear my brain. theres so many different list for this move! haha.

tiny sneak peak into my new livingroom! :):)

we put over 200+ miles on the hubbys truck saturday, driving all around the city, picking up pretty finds from craigslist.

we got a free amazing piano from a friend.

& some beautiful brown leather couches.

my husband is the best, ever! he ended our weekend with this epic moment, causing us to cry from laughing so hard. im so happy hes mine :)  (he, being my husband. but the deers pretty cool too.)

whelp, it was a very full but extremely exciting weekend for us.

have a great week beautiful people!!!
love, love, love! <3

hello beautiful friends!

hello beautiful friends!

i am here to tell you, i have not taken a trip to the moon, nor have i decided to move to a country without access to the internet. im still here.

i have been living life as normal & not blogging about it along the way. . .
my apologies.

you know how they say, "its when you blog a lot you appear very busy but its really when your not blogging constantly that your busy." ringing true to me this time around.

ive done a loooot since we last talked-- ive had about 4 "draft" posts that were never actually completed & posted throughout the months. sad face. so, i will be updating you on some exciting things that have taken place in my life recently, one being celebrating a YEAR of being married (already?!?! craziness how time flies) & driving 3500 miles around the us. :):)

so stay tuned.
im coming back!

promise.

a d.i.y.-- real flower necklace :)

we spent the evening laying under the shade tree :)
it was refreshing and felt so good. the stormy clouds have rolled away and it is bright and sunny (like normal) again! my heart it happy.
i loooove california.

on our walk back home, i found these flowers & remembered the little necklaces i used to make out of these in elementary school and really wanted to make one again! andrew was wanting to be home, but being the amazing man he is, he patiently waited for me as i made my little flower necklace <3

as i was sitting on the grass i thought to myself, these are so freaking cute, i wonder if others have made them too? and if they havent they are missing out-- so, how about i show them how, so that no one has to miss out? i pulled out thee old trusty iphone and took a couple snap shots of the process. a spontaneous diy :)

you'll need:

some fresh air.
pretty wild flowers.
your hands.
& thats about it :)

step 1:

choose and pick about 15 little flowers.

step 2:

pinch the end of the stem of the flower, creating a little hole.

step 3:

the hole should look somewhat like this one.

step 4:

string another flower into the hole.

step 5:

gently, pull it in, up to the bud of the flower.

step 6:

continue this process until it is your desired length.

step 7:

now that you have your desired length, you are ready to close the circle. make a hole like normal, but this time about 3x bigger-- so that it is big enough to fit the bud going in first. slip your last flower through and. . .

tah-dah!

now that you have looped your last flower on, you are good to go and can wear your adorable flower necklace!! it also makes a super cute headband.

hope you all have a chance to make your own little flower necklace, whether it be for the first time or for old times sake! :):)

have a fabulous day! <3
